Chapter 1

Introduction

The Star Track Express Web Pickup Booking System allows customers to submit casual pickup booking requests via the web.

This guide introduces you to the Web Pickup Booking System and takes you step by step through the following options:

  • how to access Web Pickup Booking
  • how to request a casual pickup booking
  • how to request a casual pickup booking for the next business day
  • how to change your password
  • how to access on-line help

Chapter 2

Web Pickup Booking Process

The only step in the Web Pickup Booking Process is as follows:

Step... Why...
Request Casual Pickup Bookings
(if required)
To request casual pickup bookings for your goods or your clients goods (note: NOT required if you or your clients already have a regular pickup)

Chapter 3

How to Access Web Pickup Booking

You need to register with Star Track Express to be able to use Web Pickup Booking.

Once you have registered you will be emailed your username and password for
Web Pickup Booking.

Web Pickup Booking can be accessed from the Star Track Express main web page (www.startrackexpress.com.au).

From the Star Track Express main web page:

The Login screen will appear.

Login to Web Pickup Booking

You need to login to the Star Track Express Web Pickup Booking System.

At the Login screen you will be asked for your user name and password:

    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Enter your password (note: your password may be in mixed case)
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Click on the Submit button

Once you have entered your correct username and password the Main Menu screen will appear.

From the Main Menu screen:

    Click on the PICKUP BOOKING option

The Pickup Booking screen will appear.

You can also access the TRACK & TRACE and PROOF OF DELIVERY systems from the Main Menu.

In these circumstances... Do the following...
Unable to login to Web Pickup Booking BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Double check you have entered your user name and password correctly
(note: your password may be in mixed case)
Still unable to login to Web Pickup Booking BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Contact the Star Track Express Help Desk on 1800 028 361 during business hours for assistance
If you have already logged in with a different session BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Select the End Other Sessions checkbox and click on the Continue button

Logout of Web Pickup Booking

You need to logout of once you have finished using the Star Track Express Web Pickup Booking System.

From the Main Menu screen:

    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Click on the LOGOUT option

Once you have logged out of the Star Track Express main page screen will appear.

You have now successfully logged out of Web Pickup Booking.

Chapter 4

How to Request a Casual Pickup Booking

You may need to request a casual pickup booking for your goods or your clients goods in the Web Pickup Booking System.

This is required to provide details of your pickups to Star Track Express.

Note: this is NOT required if you or your clients already have a regular pickup.

From the Main Menu screen:

    Click on the PICKUP BOOKING option

The Pickup Booking screen will appear.

From the Pickup Boooking screen:

    Enter your or your clients pickup details - pickup contact,
         phone number, company name and pickup address
or select the
         pickup location from the dropdown list
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Select the Update Pickup List radio button to add frequently used
         clients to your pickup location list
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Click on the Find Location button to obtain the correct location,
         post code and state for your client (if the pickup booking is for one
         of your clients)
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Enter your or your clients email address
   
BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Enter your or your clients pickup point
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Select the goods description from the dropdown list
         (always select the largest item)
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Select the service required from the dropdown list
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Enter the quantity, weight and estimated size of items - length,
         width and height
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Select the destination for the goods from the dropdown list
         (choose VARIOUS for multiple destinations)
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) the pickup date will default to todays date
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Enter the time the goods will be ready for pickup and your or your clients
        closing time
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Select the connote required checkbox if a connote needs to be taken
         to the pickup location
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Enter any special instructions relevant to the pickup
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Select the bulk pickup checkbox if the pickup is for a bulk item(s)
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Click on the Submit button to submit the pickup booking request

When you have submitted your pickup booking request a "Your pickup booking has been submitted. A confirmation will be sent to you via email." message will be displayed and the Main Menu screen will appear.

You or your client will be automatically sent an Email confirming your casual pickup booking.

Use the Reset button to clear the details on the pickup booking request.

WB01356_.gif (356 bytes) Note: pickup booking requests must be submitted prior to the cut-off times for your local branch (contact your local branch on 12 23 45 for cut-off times for casual pickups).

In these circumstances... Do the following...
The message "Warning: You have already booked a pickup for yourself today" is displayed BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) If you are booking a pickup for a different client then continue otherwise contact your local branch on 12 23 45 if you want to book another pickup for yourself for today
Any error messages are displayed at the top of the screen BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Check the message details and correct the details on your pickup booking request
Any other informational messages are displayed BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Check the message details and follow any instructions provided
The message "Warning: The time booked is after the cut-off time. Your pickup may be scheduled for the next business day." is displayed BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Note the pickup may be scheduled for the next business day
The message "Warning: The time ready is after the cut-off time. Your pickup may be scheduled for the next business day." is displayed Note the pickup may be scheduled for the next business day

How to Monitor for Web Pickup Booking Requests

You can select only one option from the Web Pickup Booking Menu:

    1.  Help

Chapter 6

How to Request a Casual Pickup Booking for the Next Business Day

You may need to request a casual pickup booking for the next business day in the Web Pickup Booking System.

This may be required if you have missed your local branch cut-off times for casual pickups.

From the Main Menu screen:

The Pickup Booking screen will appear.

Chapter 7

How to Change Your Password

You can change your password for the Star Track Express Web Pickup Booking System.

From the Main Menu screen:

    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Click on the CHANGE PASSWORD option

The Change Password screen will appear.

At the Change Password screen you will be asked for your old and new passwords:

    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Enter your old password
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Enter your new password (note: your password may be in mixed case)
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Re-enter your new password
    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Click on the Change Password button

Your password has now been changed.

How to Access On-line Help

An on-line user guide has been provided for the Star Track Express Web Pickup Booking System.

From the Web Pickup Booking Menu screen:

The Web Pickup Booking User Guide screen will appear.

    BD14565_.GIF (183 bytes) Click on the Hyperlinks to move around the sections of the on-line
         user guide (eg. How to Request a Casual Pickup Booking or

You can also print a hard copy of the Web Pickup Booking User Guide if required.

Chapter 9

Other Features with Web Pickup Booking

You can add frequently used frequently used clients to your
         Pickup Location List:

     Select the Update Pickup List radio button when entering a pickup booking
          for a client

You or your client will be automatically sent an Email confirming your casual pickup bookings.
